About KEDTech
About us
In June of 2001, KEDTech was hired to construct the scenery for the new musical production “Mississippi Love” opening in Branson, Missouri. “We didn’t like what we were getting back from New York and Los Angeles companies.” Said Scott Ives, Technical Director and Production Manager for the play. “It’s been a wonderful experience working with Kyle. They are doing a wonderful job” [quoted from article in the Commercial Appeal July 14, 2001 by R. Cotton.]
During the summer of 2004, KEDTech was responsible for the scenic construction, under production designer Keith Brian Burns, for the movie “Hustle and Flow” that was filmed in Memphis. The collaboration of KEDTech and Ballet Memphis ended in the spring of 2005 and KEDTech relocated to its new facilities in Olive Branch, MS. The new 5,000 square foot building houses not only the construction shop but also the offices and a small “display” area for some of KEDTech’s work samples.
KEDTech continues to work with local companies in scenic construction for locally filmed commercials, independent films and theatrical productions.
Additionally, KEDTech has a CNC router machine that enables the company to provide local companies with repetitive, detailed or limited three-dimensional creations – for example the exact same design of an arch that is identical in twenty copies.
